DELTA Train - Participants wanted for the control group of a scientific research project

In order to improve the treatment situation for adolescents with a substance addiction, our working group has already developed a new therapeutic approach in the DELTA project: The "Dresden Multimodal Therapy for Adolescents with Chronic Substance Use". We now want to expand this evaluated programme in the DELTA-Train project to include a component that enables cognitive performance enhancement for adolescent patients through regular training with the NeuroNation app. We want to find out to what extent an app can help improve concentration, attention and thinking skills over a period of 16 weeks. In order to test the extent to which the app leads to the desired improvement in performance, we also want to examine a comparison group with adolescents who do not have a substance dependency.

We are looking for Young people between the ages of 12 and 18 who do not use drugs.

PASST - Participants wanted for scientific research project

Our research project investigates how war and flight affect the emotional and physical health of children and what support can help them. In particular, we are investigating epigenetic and immunological changes that can result from stressful experiences.

We have developed a special therapy programme that helps refugee children to reduce stress, regulate their emotions and strengthen social relationships. This programme runs for eight weeks with two sessions per week. In addition, three workshops are organised for parents or caregivers to promote long-term support for the children.

In order to scientifically test the effectiveness of the programme, we are looking for

  • Refugee children aged 6-12 who would like to take part in our therapy programme.

  • Children without experience of flight or war to serve as a control group. These children do not take part in a therapy programme.

Both groups are asked to complete questionnaires and take part in small psychological tests. We also carry out investigations into epigenetic and immunological changes. We take blood, hair and oral mucosa samples for this purpose. While these sample collections are voluntary for the therapy group, they are a prerequisite for participation in the control group.

If you have any questions about the study or would like to take part, please contact us at any time by email: [email protected]
