University Clinic for Gynaecology
The University Clinic for Gynaecology at Pius-Hospital Oldenburg comprises the fields of gynaecology and gynaecological oncology. Around 2.500 patients are treated on the wards each year; in addition, there are outpatient examinations and therapies, in particular for hysteroscopic (uterine endoscopy) and laparoscopic procedures (minimally invasive method using fine optical instruments, also known as laparoscopy).
The main areas of treatment include oncological surgery (surgical treatment of cancer), endoscopic surgery (laparoscopy, uteroscopy), uterus-preserving myoma removal, prolapse operations and the diagnosis and treatment of involuntary loss of urine.
