  • Career insights online, 22 August 2025 at 14:00 – 15:30

    Guest: Dr. Julia Dürrschlag - Research Associate, Examining Trends in Non-Monetary Benefit-Sharing (ET-NMBS) project

    The seminar format "Career Insights Online" aims at introducing different career paths of marine scientists in the widest sense and offers the possibility to get in touch with former members of the Marine Graduate Schools in Oldenburg, Bremen and Bremerhaven.

  • UMO Connect - Networking for doctoral candidates and postdocs at University Medicine Oldenburg, 23 September 2025 at 12:00 - 13:30 Interkultureller Treff (IKT)

    Guest: Dr. Janina Leyk - Balancing family and career – what do you need?

    This event allows to connect with other fellow early-career researchers at UMO and engage in interdisciplinary exchanges about their experiences during their doctoral or postdoctoral phases. Each meeting begins with a 30-minute expert talk (mostly in English) on a topic relevant to these career stages, followed by informal discussions over a cup of coffee or tea. 

  • Women`s Career Week, 01 - 05 September 2025, University of Oldenburg

    Are you an early-career female researcher researcher (PhD candidate, postdoc, junior professor, or junior research group leader) at School V of the University of Oldenburg and aiming for a career in academia? Then we warmly invite you to participate in the Women’s Career Week 2025 at the University of Oldenburg. With this offer, we want to support young women in actively advancing their academic careers, further developing their personal skills, and networking with each other.

    The programme includes three workshop days focused on training personal skills and providing information on building a scientific career.Additionally, talks by leading female scientists from various disciplines will offer valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges in academia.     Certificate Programme Teaching and Learning in Higher Education

  • BYRD (University of Bremen) - Bremen Early Career Researcher Development

    Qualification offers by the partner institution of the Graduate Academy Oldenburg at the University of Bremen.

PROMOS scholarship programme for stays abroad 

The application period for the PROMOS scholarship programme for stays abroad starting in the first half of 2026 has started! Are you going abroad to study, complete an internship, write your thesis or participate in a specialized/ language course between January 1 and June 30, 2026? Apply for a PROMOS scholarship! Deadline: September 30, 2026.
