Titel: “Numerical Methods for the Allen-Cahn Equation under uncertainty”

Abstract:

We investigate the nonlinear Allen-Cahn equation with the classical fourth order double-well potential in the settings of gradient flows and discuss the existence of solution using the Rothe method. We consider the implementation of finite element solvers for the nonlinear time-stepping scheme, including a semianalytic method. Lastly, we discuss the use of the alternative-to-factorial technique to establish Gevrey-Class regularity for the solution of the ACEquation with respect to the initial condition and showcase some applications related to uncertainty quantification.
