Characterisation of invariant operators under magnetic translations and applications 

In this talk, I will present the abstract result of characterizing self-adjoint operators that commute with magnetic translations. Consequently, we derive the semi-classical expression of the kinetic energy density in 2d and 3d in the presence of a magnetic field. Furthermore, we provide an equivalent energy expression to a magnetic Hartree Fock energy per unit surface.
