Crediting the orientation internship (prx111)
The module prx111 Orientation Internship in the Field of Special Needs Education and Rehabilitation can be credited or recognised if you can provide evidence of relevant professional experience or relevant coursework and examinations from a previous degree programme.
Please select the option that suits you best.
Option 1: I have a state-recognised qualification and would like to have this recognised.
If you have completed one of the following training programmes:
- State-recognised educator,
- state-recognised curative education nurse,
- state-recognised social assistant,
- state-recognised occupational therapist,
- state-recognised speech therapist,
- state-recognised physiotherapist,
- health- and nurse,
- health- and paediatric nurses,
please use this form.
Complete the personal details under point 1 and tick "Internships from completed training..." under point 3. (The signature of the internship supervisor is not required!)
Send the completed form (including your proof of training) to the Examinations Office
Option 2: I have gained practical work experience (e.g. in an internship, BFD, FSJ or through my professional activity) and would like to have this recognised.
If you can provide evidenceof at least three months of full-time work or a three-month full-time internship (without interruption; accompanied by a professional organisation) in a special and rehabilitation education field (equivalent to 480 working hours), then:
- Send proof of your professional internship experience (work certificate that includes the number of hours and description of the activity) together with your student ID number by email to Dr Imke Dunkake ().
- After your documents have been checked, the entire prx111 module will be credited.
Please note: A purely teaching-related activity cannot be credited (including au-pair activities or caring for private individuals)
Option 3: I have already completed a special needs education orientation internship in another degree programme and would like to have this credited.
If you have already completed a module within a previous degree programme that corresponds in content and form to module prx111 Orientation Internship in the Field of Special and Rehabilitation Education, please follow the procedure for recognition of study and examination achievements.
