Advancing Master modules

Advancing Master modules

Information on advancing Master modules

It is possible to advance Master modules from Master's degree programmes under certain conditions in selected degree programmes.

The prerequisites are regulated in the respective Master's examination regulations(Master of Education Special Needs Education, Master of Education (Business Education)). The examination regulations for the Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Education degree programme do not provide for Master's modules to be brought forward.

Requirements for advancing Master modules in M.Ed. Special Needs Education

Upon proposal, students of the corresponding Bachelor's degree programmes can take Master's modules early and complete module examinations of up to 30 credit points in total if they
a) have acquired at least 120 credit points in the Bachelor's degree programme and
b) have registered their Bachelor's thesis and
c) have successfully completed all basic modules in the subject of special education.
The examining board decides on the proposal.

If you would like to bring forward a Master's module of the Institute of Special Needs Education and Rehabilitation, please send the completed "Proposal to advancing Master modules of the Master of Education and Master's degree programmes in the Bachelor's degree programme" (see Examinations) by email to the Examinations Office. Once you have received approval of your proposal, please contact Bastian Rieß([email protected]) to register for the course.

Important:

  • Advancing Master modules can only be permitted if there are still free seminar places available in the courses of the respective module.
  • In principle, students already enrolled on the Master's degree programme are given priority when allocating seminar places.
  • It is only possible to enrol in the courses of early modules after seminar places have been allocated as part of the regular enrolment procedure.
