Team Professional Development
Team Professional Development
Demographic change and the associated shortage of labour and skilled workers are currently affecting public administration as well. Therefore it is more important than ever to attract good staff, retain existing employees and offer them opportunities for personal and professional development.
As part of its right of participation in decision making, the Staff Development team is committed to ensuring that all employees have access to lifelong learning and that professional development with the possible promotion opportunities going along with it.
Therefore we engage in cooperative discussions with PEOE as part of the further education and training working group and were involved, for example, in the negotiations for the new regulations for the administrative courses I and II. Relatedly, we advocated, among other things, that higher-level administrative positions should generally be advertised internally in future. We are currently working on the development of a temporary pool for vacant positions, which should help to prevent overload situations through more flexible staff deployment.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any suggestions on the subject of staff development, e.g. desired further training programmes.
