As elected representatives of the employees at the University of Oldenburg, we happily engage into dialogue with employees. However, in our daily work, we often come into contact with few people only (in appointment committees, meetings of various working groups or individual counseling sessions) or we meet all employees at once (staff meetings), which in turn excludes individual discussions.

In order to facilitate the communication with our colleagues, we recently started to occasionally hold our regular PR meetings (on Tuesdays) in different university departments. We hope that this will enable us to gain better insights into the diversity of the university, opening up opportunities for dialogue with individuals or groups of people on site.

At these on-site meetings, we usually invite both the management of the particular department and its employees for an exchange. Individual counseling sessions are possible too.

We are very pleased to receive invitations to an on-site PR meeting from the departments of the university but we also make use of approaching some ourselves.
