About us
The Institute of Mathematics is a medium-sized institute with around 60 employees and is characterised by flat hierarchies and a relaxed working atmosphere. Various research areas are represented by the Analysis, Algebra, Stochastics and Didactics of Mathematics departments. The future post holder will be a member of the Analysis group.
Your tasks
- Research in the field of partial differential equations, e.g. with a focus on singular analysis,
- Collaboration in the Institute's courses, especially in the field of analysis, in the supervision of student work, in examinations and in self-administration. Teaching duties are based on the LVVO.
Your profile
Required / recruitment requirements
- A university degree in mathematics (Diplom (Uni)/Master) with a "very good" grade,
- Sound knowledge in the fields of spectral theory, microlocal and global analysis and differential geometry
- Good knowledge of German and English.
Desirable / Advantageous are
- Initial experience with university teaching (e.g. as a tutor).
