Our student, Silvia Alejandra Caballero Zafra (SuRE 2023-25), reports on the recent PV excursion to the solar farm at the former air base “Helleheide.”

SuRE-students from the last 2 intakes visited the Deutsche WindGuard Co. in Varel on 28^th of May 2024. The excursion was organised by Ms. Verena Dierks from the Career Counselling Centre, University of Oldenburg.

Last July, two PPRE alumni, Prof. Gerd Heilscher (PPRE 1987-88) and Aakash Sharma (PPRE 2019-20), met up and talked about their PPRE experiences. 

Three of our PPRE alumni, Mr. Henry Wasajja (EMRE 2010/11), Dr. Al-Mas Sendegeya (PPRE 1999-2000), and Mr. Wisdom Ahiataku Togobo (PPRE 1997-98), met in Ghana.

The goal of the research project ROLLEN is variable distribution of excess energy from renewable sources in space and time by means of electric vehicles with inductive charging systems capable of feeding back into the grid.
