Directions: Enter through the main entrance and take the stairs on the left in front of the cafeteria. Then turn left into the hallway (W01 Institute of Mathematics/W01A Institute of Physics). At the very end of the hallway, you will reach wing W1A and find our office on the right-hand side.

OLTECH Travel Grant
On behalf of the Faculty V and Faculty VI, the Graduate School OLTECH offers grants for the attendance at international congresses, summer schools and lab visits.
The next application deadline for travels from January until June 2026:

International doctoral candidates/PhDs
The University offers a special service to support students and doctoral candidates on their arrival in Oldenburg. Please contact the International Office (IO).
There is also a programme to support international students by finding personal contact partners among the German students.
For more information about formalities like visa, health insurance, student housing or private lodging, life in Oldenburg etc. please visit the page of the International Office (IO) of the University of Oldenburg.
The International Office’s Welcome Service can provide helpful advice on all non-academic matters:

PhD Tutors
The PhD tutors offer assistance for international PhDs during the first months in Oldenburg.
