Masoumeh Sadat Hosseini

HCI researcher and interaction designer

I'm a researcher and interaction designer with a strong passion for multimodal interaction, user-centered design, and creating accessible, data-driven  interactive technologies.

Currently, I work as a Research Assistant in the Department of Computer Science, within the Media Informatics and Multimedia Systems group at the University of Oldenburg. I hold a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering – Software.

My research focuses on designing and developing intuitive, natural user interactions, with expertise in 2D and 3D interaction design, sensor-driven data analysis, and statistical modeling to create data-driven solutions. In addition to my research, I apply my interaction design skills in front-end development, emphasizing usability and accessibility in digital interfaces.

Project

GrIPSs – Gestural Interaction Paradigms for Smart Spaces (DFG SPP2199 Priority Programme). The project investigates scalable 3D gestural interaction paradigms in pervasive computing environments. My work focuses on designing intuitive, user-defined gesture vocabularies and evaluating gesture performance to support natural, accessible human-computer interaction across diverse contexts.
