Former Students Survey

Former Students Survey

The University of Oldenburg aims with this survey to gain insight into former students’ retrospective assessment of study conditions immediately after completing their studies, and to obtain an overview of their current situation and intended (professional) career paths. Furthermore, the survey seeks to identify systematic causes leading to study discontinuation or a change of university. The survey is permanently available, allowing each former student to participate at their individual point in time following de-registration from the university.

Target Group:

  • Graduates (Bachelor, Master, State Examination) of the University of Oldenburg (UOL) who left the university after completing their degree
  • Former students (Bachelor, Master, State Examination) who de-registered from the UOL prior to completing their studies

The survey includes the following thematic areas:

  • General questions about the study programme and academic progress, standard period of study
  • Experiences during the study programme, retrospective evaluation of studies, and study satisfaction
  • Reasons for dropping out of university or changing university location
  • Questions about future plans

The results will contribute to optimally aligning teaching quality, study conditions, and support structures, and to creating the best possible prerequisites for a successful transition into the professional world.
