Third-party projects

Digitale Lehre Hub Niedersachsen

The joint project DLHN will bring together all state universities in Lower Saxony in six sub-projects in the field of studing and teaching in order to advance the digitalisation of universities to their mutual benefit. To this end, over the next four years the project will be implemented under the umbrella initiative Hochschule.digital Niedersachsen (HdN) of the federal state of Lower Saxony with funding from the VW Foundation totalling 25.4 million euros.

Posters in Brussels

Posters in Brussels is an Erasmus+ project connecting European Bachelor students with political decision makers. The goal is to give students the chance to present their research ideas and findings in all academic fields through scientific poster presentations – both on a national level in the national Parliaments and on a European level in the European Parliament in Brussels. This will create and expand European networks of Undergraduate Research on an institutional and individual level.

participate@UOL

With participate@UOL the University of Oldenburg (UOL) aims to become a place of scientific knowledge and of learning in the digital age that invites diverse students and teaching staff, is accessible without barriers and that encourages independent students and teaching staff to participate.

SOUVER@N

To promote souvereign digital teaching and learning is the joint mission of eight universities in Lower Saxony and ELAN e. V. The joint project is being funded with 5 million euros by the Innovation in University Teaching Foundation.
Partners: Clausthal University of Technology, Hannover Medical School, University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover Foundation, University of Hildesheim Foundation, Leuphana University Lüneburg, University of Oldenburg, University of Osnabrück, University of Vechta, ELAN e. V.

Completed projects

OLE+

OLE+ was a project to further develop the quality of teacher training at the University of Oldenburg. Based on a biography-oriented and cross-phase approach, structures and processes in teacher training at the University of Oldenburg were optimised.

DiOLL

The DiOLL project has improved the digital education of teachers by strengthening digitalisation-related skills of students in teacher training degrees and teachers as well as the context-related use of digital media and technologies in the classroom.

digiUR (2021-23)

The strategic partnership (Erasmus+) involved five European universities and two associated organisations. With a focus on both innovative practices in the digital age and the ongoing global Covid-19 pandemic, its goal was to advance digital undergraduate research in Europe. At UOL, an online module was developed with training materials for the development of digital competences and skills among teachers with the aim of teaching research-based learning.

Q+FL (2018-2021)

In this project, students at the University of Oldenburg became scientifically active and conducted independent research on technologies such as Smart Home in Computing Science, Digital Literacy in Material Culture or working with large data sets in the natural sciences. In order to further develop selected degree programmes accordingly, the university received 900,000 euros for three years and for three projects as part of the „Qualität plus – Programm für gute Lehre in Niedersachsen” programme funded by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture. A total of 48 projects at 16 universities were approved.

FoL and FLiF (2011-2021)

The starting point for the development of research-based learning at the University of Oldenburg were two university-wide teaching-learning projects: FoL+ ("Forschungsorientierte Lehre plus" 2011-2019) and FLiF+ ("Forschungsbasiertes Lernen im Fokus plus" 2011-2021).

eCULT (2011-2020)

In the eCULT (eCompetence and Utilities for Learners and Teachers) project, eleven universities and two associations worked together to improve the quality of teaching with the aim of intensifying the didactically meaningful use of digital learning technologies on a broad scale.
