The Golden Ear Challenge (2.0)

We are happy to announce a series of four concerts in Bremen (10.11.24), Hannover (22.11.24), Oldenburg (28.11.24), and Hamburg (7.3.25) featuring our science-experiment and outreach format THE GOLDEN EAR CHALLENGE. We are privileged to be able to work with the fantastic Orchester im Treppenhaus. Hope to see you there!

 

HEARMUS Seminar

The HearMus seminar series provides a monthly forum for the discussion of a broad array of topics around music and hearing health. The series aims to yield a state of the art of research on music perception and hearing impairment, hearing aids and music, and individual differences in music perception and production. Besides presentations from experts in academia and industry, the seminar series seeks to foster lively discussions and exchange of ideas, with the joint goal of sustaining and enhancing access to music for people with diverse hearing needs.

Timbre 2020: 2nd International Conference on Timbre

Timbre 2020 provides an interdisciplinary forum for exchanging novel perspectives and forging collaborations across different disciplines to help address challenges in our understanding of timbre from empirical, theoretical, and computational perspectives.

Timbre 2020 is jointly organised by Asterios ZacharakisCharalampos Saitis and Kai Siedenburg. Check out the website for further information. 

Freigeist Project KickOff Workshop 2020

We hosted a nice kickoff workshop entitled "Real-life auditory research" to get a good start into the new year and get into the new project. The workshop focussed on research approaches that go beyond classic lab based paradigms and featured talks by Kai SiedenburgDaniel Mullensiefen (Goldsmiths University of London), Inga Holube (Jade Hochschule, Oldenburg), Martin Bleichner (University of Oldenburg), and Lorenzo Picinali (Imperial College London).
