International Symposium ULRIKE
Format and Objectives
ULRIKE brings together leading experts from different disciplines with a shared interest in applying methods of nonlinear dynamics and stochastic processes to Earth systems analysis. The symposium focuses on the following key areas:
- Tipping mechanisms, generation of extremes and rare events in excitable systems
- Process-oriented modeling of biological systems
- Nonlinear systems under the influence of noise
- Fundamental aspects of nonlinear dynamics
- Analysis of data from climate and the Earth system
The scientific program is followed by a social event in honor of Ulrike's contributions to the field and a celebration of the group Theoretical Physics/Complex Systems at ICBM.
