Over the past ten years, we have built a strong regional network to promote and support knowledge and technology-based startups throughout the various stages of their development. Our startup support activities involve close cooperation with university instruction, business development agencies, chambers of commerce and banks, small and medium-sized enterprises as well as large corporations, public institutions, cluster and industry networks, and successful startups.

Through collaboration with our neighboring Dutch partners, the University of Groningen and Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, the University of Oldenburg also aims to expand its entrepreneurial activities across borders.

With the “Startup Region Northwest” as a network structure, the strengths of the individual institutions are made accessible to everyone — both in terms of startup consulting, scientific expertise, and practical network contacts. This allows startup teams to collaborate across universities, potential investors to be connected with each other, and infrastructures to be shared.

The "Technologie- und Gründerzentrum Oldenburg" (TGO) is partner of the university related incubator "VentureLab Plus".

The Founding and Innovation Center (GIZ) cooperates with the Business Development Department of the City of Oldenburg, for example in the field of the "Gründerforum Oldenburg".

The Entrepreneurship Summer School Plus 2012 was organized by GIZ in cooperation with the "Wirtschaftliche Vereinigung Oldenburg - Der kleine Kreis e. V.".
