Registration
The conference fee is 600 Euros. It covers all meals (lunchs all days, dinner on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday), excluding the excursion with conference dinner on Wednesday.
The excursion to the Breitachklamm will take place on Wednesday afternoon. The walk through the Breitachklamm, a spectacular gorge, will end at the Alpe Dornach, where the workshop dinner is planned. Total cost is 70 Euro, including bus transfer, entrance fee and dinner.
There are four registration categories
- Regular participant with excursion (total cost 670 Euro)
- Regular participant without excursion (total cost 600 Euro)
- Accompanying person (including lunch, dinner and excursion, total cost 300 Euro)
- Travel grant applicant (postdocs and early career researchers only)
If you intend to participate in the excursion, choose the first category. If unsure, select option 2.
Special dietary requirements can be provided during registration. If unsure, feel free to contact the organisers.
All regular attendees will receive an invoice with payment instructions (either credit card or bank transfer, depending on your choice). Please note that PhD students are not eligible for a travel stipend.
Early career stipends
There will be a limited number of travel grant stipends for early career researchers, usually postdocs, to allow their participation. A stipend will cover registration fee and hotel costs. In addition and depending on your home country, costs for a long-distance flight (Brazil, max. 1000 €) or the costs for train tickets (Germany, max. 400 €) are also reimbursed.
In order to apply, applicants should provide a CV, a list of publications, a letter of support from their supervisor (if applicable) in addition to a short letter of motivation plus a title and abstract for an intended poster or talk. It is mandatory to present a poster at the workshop. However, excellent contributions can be „upgraded” to a talk by the organisers.
Applications should be send to the conference office via Email as a single PDF attachment, no later than April, 30th, 2025. Additionally, applicants should register in the category „Travel grant applicant" which is free of costs.
Information for Authors
Abstract submission:
Please submit the abstract of your talk or your poster on a single page as a PDF document directly during the registration process (there is an option for ile selection following the submission of your registration). A Word template is provided for your convenience.
Poster guidelines:
Poster format: Portrait A0 (height x width = 1189 mm x 841 mm)

Each poster will be presented in an oral minute presentation prior to the poster session. Please prepare one slide and file it to our conference office before the beginning of the conference. The order of the minute presentations will be the order of the poster numbers.
Materials to mount the posters will be available at the conference office.
Lectures:
Oral presentations are in English. Please bring your presentation on a USB stick or bring your computer to the lecture hall in the break before your presentation.
