We’re pleased to introduce Aaron R. von Seggern, the latest PhD student to join HyCat. Aaron is working on organic-inorganic TiO₂ photocatalysts, specifically, conjugated systems on semiconductor surfaces, as part of the BMFTR-funded Su₂nCat-CO₂ project. His recent publications include topics like zirconium nitride electrocatalysts and polymeric carbon nitride photocatalysts, showcasing his broad expertise in advanced catalyst design.
We’re also excited to welcome a new research intern, Svenja Gribbe, who has just started working under Aaron’s supervision on a powder analogue to his UHV model system. This hands-on project complements Aaron’s surface science approach, helping bridge insights from ultra-high vacuum experiments to more application-oriented powder catalysts.
Welcome to both of you!
