Once again this year, the Chemistry Student Council, in cooperation with individual members of staff at the Institute under the direction of Dr Carsten Dosche, prepared a Christmas lecture and thus created a place of togetherness where students, professors and staff of the Institute of Chemistry came together again in a cosy atmosphere before the end of the year. 

As part of the this year's christmas lecture, the Chemistry Student Body (Fachschaft Chemie) awarded individual Institute member with the Prize for excellence in chemical education and teaching.

• for their lectures in the module che160 Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Beckhaus and Prof. Dr. Thomas Müller were honoured with the Prize in the cathegory „Best Bachelor's module”
• The module che450 held by Prof. Dr. Thomas Müller, Dr. Lena Albers, Dr. Alexander Weiz received the prize for the best Master's module.
• Prof. Dr. Frank Rößner was honoured as the most committed lecturer.
