The European Commission in partnership with the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS), the German Federal Ministry of Health (BMG), the Cross-Border Institute of Healthcare Systems and Prevention (CBI), and with support from the National Contact Point EU-Patienten.de of the DVKA cordially invites to the symposium on cross-border healthcare in the German-Dutch border region.
This event offers a platform for knowledge exchange, practical dialogue, and networking.
Topics of the event include:
- How does the EU framework support the practical implementation of cross-border healthcare?
- Exchange of expertise and best practices for implementing Directive 2011/24/EU in the DE-NL border region
- Function and impact of European Reference Networks (ERNs) for people with rare diseases
- Opportunities for enhanced cooperation between healthcare providers and institutions to promote patient mobility and cross-border healthcare
- Practical examples and proven models in cross-border healthcare
The event will conclude with a presentation of the Interreg project Health4DE-NL, a concrete initiative supporting the implementation of Directive 2011/24/EU.
